(1949) (60:39/20) 1949 in Detroit im Rahmen einer privaten Party entstandene Aufnahmen (in hervorragender Qualität!), die 50 Jahre verschollen waren und erste 1999 in der Tschechischen Republik wieder auftauchten. Für eine kurze Zeit gab es sie auf einem englischen Label ich habe den Eindruck, als klänge diese neue Ausgabe noch etwas besser. Das Material hat Hooker später nicht noch einmal aufgenommen / These recordings were made during a private dinner party in Detroit, 1949. The quality is excellent! For 50 years these tapes remained unknown to the public. It was in 1999 that they were discovered in a basement in the Czech Republic. For a short while these takes were made available on an English release. I have the impression that this official edition sounds better.
